Counting chambers are instruments for precise measuring. They are made of special optical glass and serve to determine the number of particles in liquids. In-vitro diagnostic applications generally require duplicate determinations. Consequently, our counting chambers for investigations of cell suspensions are equipped with two sets of grids. These counting grids are engraved into two ground and polished surfaces on the central ridge (=chamber bottom). This central ridge is located between two elevated also ground and polished ridges. A cover glass with a thickness of 0.4 mm is placed on top of these two outer ridges. This cover glass limits the examined volumes above the counting grids.

• Bright-lined: these counting chambers have counting grids which are engraved into an annealed metal coating.
• Under normal microscope settings the counting grid appears as a grid of bright lines. By altering the contrast, the counting grid can also be made to appear dark.
• Each counting chamber includes two (2) of the corresponding cover glass.(PN 48011504)
