Corning® 1L DMEM (Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle’s Medium)/Hams F-12 50/50 Mix

[+] L-glutamine, 15 mM HEPES This 1:1 mixture of Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium and Ham's F-12 media is ideal for culture of a variety of cell types under low serum conditions. Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium (DMEM) is a modification of Basal Medium Eagle (BME) containing four-fold concentrations of the amino acids and vitamins found in BME. Ham's F-12 media is based on Ham's F-10 medium with increased concentrations of choline, inositol, putrescine, and several amino acids. The formulation contains L-glutamine and 15 mM HEPES. The original formulation contained 1000 mg/L of glucose and was used to culture embryonic mouse cells. Since then, it has been modified to support primary cultures of mouse and chicken cells, as well as a variety of normal and transformed cells.
